Example of how to unblock programs

Once you have activated Parental Control, you may want to turn it off at times. This way you can access the shows you want when your kids aren't watching.

Depending on how your system is set up, you will get one of two options for Unblocking.

Unblocking All

1. If you tune to a show that has been blocked, you will see a Parental Control alert. The alert shows you whether the program is blocked by channel, time or rating.




2. Press the SELECT button and enter your 4-digit PIN number on your remote control when prompted.

3. This will disable all blocks (channel, time and rating). You can now watch the show you were trying to see, and any other show on any other channel.

OR

B) Unblocking Options

1. If the show you are trying to watch is blocked because of a channel block, you will be given these options when you try to unblock:




1. Press the A button to unblock only the program you want to watch.




2. Press the B button to unblock this channel.




3. Press the C button to unblock all channels for next few hours.




2. If you press the C button, use the LEFT and RIGHT arrow buttons to choose how many hours you want to unblock.


3. You can also press the SELECT button to turn off all Parental Controls.

Disabling All Parental Controls at Once

1. There is also a quick way to disable all Parental Controls at once from any channel. Press the SETTINGS button at any time to display the Quick Settings menu.




2. Press the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to find Turn Off Parental Control.


3. Press the SELECT button.


4. Enter your PIN number when prompted.


5. All Channel, Time, Ratings and Title blocks are now disabled.

Important:

Make sure you reactivate Parental Controls before your children watch TV.

Reactivating Parental Controls

1. Press the SETTINGS button to return to the Quick Settings menu.


2. Press the UP or DOWN arrow buttons to find Turn On Parental Control.


3. Press the SELECT button.


4. Enter your PIN number when prompted.

Tip:

If you do forget to reactivate Parental Control, all blocks will automatically be activated the next time you turn your cable box OFF, and then ON again.
